Interesting. I read a long time ago that there were 5 rounds of Wolfram ammo both sides of the Ju 87-G. Better for the Germans, bad for the t-34´s.
In regards to the missing part mentioned, on the tip of the bridge, “bathtub” as someone here called it, Franklin Mint customer service was still searching for one. I had slim hope as it said on the little card that it was crafted in China (a long time ago) is there somewhere in a drawer in someone’s shop over there a part of this description, or would they even consider making a new one? So I contacted them to say I appreciated their offer to try, but I made one to fit from another ship. (I said I wouldn’t, but I did) I pried the gun platform from the starboard side of another model, the side that faces the wall where it is displayed. When I did, the little gun went “flying” off into some corner of my garage where I was sitting, never to be seen again. The part was gray, the garage floor is also painted gray. It was very small. But I had the part I needed, the platform. I cut it in half, painted it gun metal gray as it was the only other “blue like” color in the drawer, painted the front of it “haze? gray” and glued it to the deck. Perhaps not what the Chinese wanted, but I am please as punch with the results. Oh yeah, I painted the other model where the part removed had been glued.
Nice mate...You have discovered a modeller can make what he/she needs...thats advanced shit right there!

According to multiple sources the world has had time travel since 1980...this will be announced in 2028.

Thanks, I had never really seen a photo of that Nautilus sub. I have always had a fascination with the atomic one, (SSN-571) as I have a coffee mug, the uniform patch, built two models, a signed photo on my wall and read the book on her voyages to the North Pole. I appreciate seeing (SS-168). And thanks for the link.
Navsource.org disabled hotlinking long ago, but here is their web page for SS-168 with plenty of photos Submarine Photo Index
