I hope this business of hoarding and scalping doesn't go on for too long. I remember that after Obama was elected president you couldn't buy a lousy box of 22s-anywhere! Some of these a$$holes would get inside information as to when a new shipment was coming in and be there when the doors opened the next morning. They would then but up everything and if you came in an hour later, there would be nothing left. The only cures are either the crisis goes away or the stores put in a very strict rationing policy.

And I thought the media was beating this up...How does a virus usher in any new leader? There may be marshal law imposed with a military man leading...this would be until the "crisis" is over. No new news that I have to share except the Mayor of Hoboken NJ closed all the bars after there was a fight. It was reported in the other forum I'm in like this:

There was a barfight and somebody got hurt and it took half an hour for an ambulance to come because all the other Hobokenesians were calling 911 about the virus, which they didn't have. So the mayor said f**k this s**t, everybody go to your rooms. And here we are.

I suspect that changes in behavior and governmental interventions will drive this estimate toward the lower end of the range. But that may depend on how we handle it.

On the bright side, it sounds as though there has been some success with some anti-retroviral meds and chloroquine. Both the Chinese and Australians are reporting some success with this cocktail. That might significantly help reduce the demands on hospitals. Hope these trials continue to show promise.
