Just painting a unit of 32nd Light Infantry for my Indian Mutiny, British army. Managed to get both armies underway, but the Brits have more done on them than the Indians!!! Been looking on the net for cavalry and artillery for both armies... Also started on my Stuka in 1/72nd for my German army. Just cut the cockpit open so the pilot can be seen looking out with a snazzy peaked cap on! Off to the shops later to get some paint and some GW cadian imperial guard to cinvert for an 'ALIENS' style game. Got two big beastie monsters already, half stuck together... Gonna replace the las-guns with M-16's and add on some yank equipment to get away from the GW look... May also treat myself to a box of zombies as I have been converting an apache witch doctor and quite fancy him rasing the contents of Boot Hill to torment my cowboys...
Got my Sci-fi figures and have decided to 'mount' two of them on a Zundapp M/C combo... At least it means they can run away from the aliens faster!
I am currently working on and almost finished with the Accurate Miniatures 1/48th SBD-5 Dauntless. I went for the anti sub warware scheme for this one. Decals are all on and now just have to do some weathering and panels lines. Plus......yuck...I still have to paint the clear cockpit pieces. That is my least favorite part. If anyone is interested in checking out pics of my other completed models here is a link to my site. I don't want to clog up the forums by trying to post a whole bunch of pics http://www.abingdon.net/~dowell Fire_spit [ 11. September 2004, 05:13 PM: Message edited by: Fire_spit ]
Fire if I may be of assistance. noted your Fw 190Dora 9 in II./JG 301 colours. Well the manufacturere goofed up as it was suppose to be yellow 15 and not blue. the yellow indicated 7th staffel, blue was for the 8th but the 8th never was equipped with the Dora but the A-9 during 1945. First staffel equipped was the red 6th staffel, my cousins white, 5th staffel later and finally 7th staffel. Regardless a fine looking build......... and not to mislead you my cousin was KIA on 26 November 1944 flying a A-9/R11 and his staffel was not equipped with the Dora model until early 1945. v/r Erich
I started the Tamiya 1/48th Tiger I this afternoon... Its very nice... Gonna do it in a very worn and dirty Panzer Grey!
Got a painted lead figure of the same type of archer (but NOT the same pose!)from the medieval warrior series sold by Del Prado a few months back. Let's just say mine is more neutral....
