Of course. I won't be the one to claim that the arms race during the Cold War was madness; it was in fact mostly dictated by reason. However now that the Cold War is over, what is the US doing holding on to more than three times the nuclear arsenal they will ever have targets for?

Yes. North Korea and Iran have very few, relatively short-range missiles that will not be aimed at the Netherlands in any case and probably not on America either because of the obvious consequences. America itself on the other hand, like I said already, has enough nukes to destroy sentient life on earth. Quite a difference.
