    8 U.S. Code § 1182 - Inadmissible aliens

    (f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President
Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate. Whenever the Attorney General finds that a commercial airline has failed to comply with regulations of the Attorney General relating to requirements of airlines for the detection of fraudulent documents used by passengers traveling to the United States (including the training of personnel in such detection), the Attorney General may suspend the entry of some or all aliens transported to the United States by such airline.

That's two people who failed completely to see the deliberate irony in my original post.
    Why am I not surprised?

    Another Trump triumph

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-38884604

House of Commons Speaker John Bercow has said he would be "strongly opposed" to US President Donald Trump addressing the Houses of Parliament during his state visit to the UK.
Mr Bercow told MPs that "opposition to racism and sexism" were "hugely important considerations
    ".

To help prevent some of the more impulsive making fools of themselves I should point out this is a Conservative MP.

    John Simon Bercow
Prior to his election to Speaker, he was a member of the Conservative Party. A former hardline right-winger who moderated his views after becoming an MP and at one time was rumoured to be likely to defect to the Labour Party, Bercow's election to the Speaker's chair depended heavily on the backing of other parties, and was deeply unpopular with many of his former colleagues.
    Role in expenses scandal
During the 2009 expenses scandal, it was revealed that Bercow changed the designation of his second home on more than one occasion – meaning that he avoided paying capital gains tax on the sale of two properties. He also claimed just under £1,000 to hire an accountant to fill in his tax returns. Bercow denied any wrongdoing, but agreed to pay £6,508 to cover any tax that he may have had to pay to HM Revenue and Customs.
It was revealed in 2014 that the House of Commons authorities have destroyed all evidence of MPs' expenses claims prior to 2010. Bercow faces accusations that he has presided over what has been dubbed a "fresh cover-up" of the expenses scandal.

John Bercow's bid to silence Donald Trump denounced as 'student politics' and damaging to the Special Relationship
John Bercow has been accused of damaging the Special Relationship after he vowed to block Donald Trump from speaking in Parliament and accused the US president of “racism and sexism”. [...]
Mr Bercow’s comments drew criticism from government sources, who accused him of breaching the convention that the Speaker must be politically neutral.

Just another attempt to attack the freedom of free speech.

It was not irony and as for you thinking you can do subtle? is there no end to your inabilities.

Women of America: we're going on strike. Join us so Trump will see our power
Feminists and women’s rights activists have announced the follow up to the Women’s March on Washington: a “Women’s Strike” planned for March 8th, where women who oppose Donald Trump’s “misogynistic, homophobic, transphobic and racist policies” will stop doing chores, attending work, and even having sex with their partners in a show of how much women matter.

    Worse in Australia:

    http://www.standard.co.uk/news/world/staggering-scale-of-sex-abuse-by-catholic-priests-in-australia-revealed-a3459046.html

Almost 4,500 people have said they were sexually abused by Catholic priests in Australia since 1980, it was revealed today.
Seven per cent of priests in the country’s Catholic Church have been accused of sexually abusing children, a top-level inquiry heard.

Seems as bad as in the USA where compensation claims have almost bankrupted the Church
Ireland is currently going through its own scandal

    http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/northern-ireland/psychotic-nuns-ran-childrens-home-like-nazi-concentration-camp-abuse-inquiry-is-told-29959634.html

Poland is a very Catholic Country. Can you imagine the scale of child abuse where the Church has such power?

Recently a radio station, TOK FM, sent a written request for information to Poland’s dioceses. None of the replies so far have been very helpful; one simply states, in capital letters, “It is none of your business”.

It would appear from the tenor of some of the replies above that posters here don't have daughters-or maybe perhaps just don't respect them as people.

It was done in 1970, it generated a lot of publicity, but also a lot of backlash. Ultimately a failure when the ERA Constitutional Amendment did not get the required number of state ratifications by 1982.

Well...If Donald is truly wetting himself over terrorists, lets see what 1182 has to say about that.

    https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/8/1182

Makes one wonder why Donald is making a big fuss over this...You also have to wonder why the nations whose nationals have committed major act of terrorism here in the US are not among those 7 nations that Trump banned, while the 7 nations on the "banned" list have accounted for Zero deaths in the United States.

If Donald wants to get serious about terrorism, then, by all means get serious...Not this idiotic "dog and pony show" that is meant for public consumption, but does nothing to improve the overall security of the United States.
