take it to ä place they çan give the COA. My ex-friend sold me an ss helmet for 4000 euros. It was fake and worth 300 euros. Now he is my ex-friend.
In my opinion, a fake. Without even beginning to research the decal, it has the look of being applied over the rust.It just looks 'wrong'. These sort of things are discussed in depth on many specialist sites and it's not too much of an exagerration to say that if it's marked 'SS', it's very likely faked.
It is the correct decal for an early transitional helmet, but that doesn't mean it is genuine. The rust on the shell looks 'new' and doesn't have any patina, which would be evident on a helmet shell that was painted 80+ years ago. I have to agree with Martin and say that alarm bells always start ringing when I see anything purported to be SS related.
