    I focused on the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, and Miami and LA papers. They were in those. The other papers, not sure. But his cartoons were available as filler on slow news days so I'm sure they got a wide distribution. I've seen them in the college newspapers I surveyed as well.

    Nye has struck political gold when his Congressional committee investigated "war profiteering", and he tried to do it again by investigating British influence in Hollywood. He may not have understood that most Americans were on the Allies' side and wanted movies showing them winning. The committee kind of fell apart when the members admitted having not seen the movies they were claiming to be "inspired by and promoting one side of the conflict over another."
