I think France v Germany is the real finals before the finals.

I would love to see Wales beat Portugal to head to the finals, but without Ramsey I don't see them doing that.

Neither Wales or Portugal, I feel, are on the same level as Germany or France, so either way, the Final may be a bit of a letdown. Especially after Germany/Italy and (most likely a good one) France/Germany.

France looks like they finally woke up and at the right time too. France vs Germany really would be "the final" to watch
Amazing what Wales have done also.

I think it's amusing that the French player who scored the two winning goals against Germany has a German name. :)

    Still has a Germanic name.

Good game. Unlucky for Germany not to score. Not sure how I feel about the awarded penalty - it certainly changed the game. Germany dominated the 2nd half of the 1st half and then have that call against them.

Either way, I will love watching France DESTROY Portugal and make Diva Ronaldo cry.

I wanted to support France against Portugal in the finals but gave up after I've seen that the French fans stole Iceland's viking chant. HOO!

In fact they miss the Icelanders and you should see it as a way to keep the cool ambiance alive and a tribute to cool fans . Some of the French fans felt sorry for kicking out the cool guys like the Irish and the Icelanders. It really changed the ambiance after the Russians and the Englsih hooligans left .

Regarding Griezmann, someo of his ancestors were already in the Macon area in the19th century. His grandfather came from Portugal. Note his sister is a Paris 11-13 bombing survivor.

You made me look at it from a different point of view. I stand corrected!

Poor France. Really think they deserved a win to lift their spirits after everything that's been happening over there. :(

Still fair play to Portugal. It was a good goal and at least Ronaldo can't claim it was all down to him...

Well I'm surprised.... I didn't expect Portugal to come out victorious today. Well done to the new champs.

Denmark 92', Greece 04' and now Portugal 16'...

I guess the winners aren't always the best.

    Congrats to Portugal!

Fair enough and congrats to Portugal , except for Ronaldo who cried when he left and when his team won (without him).

Portugal is the perfect champion for this tournament.

They prooved: Offense wins games, defense championships.
It was a tournament to forget and a winner France or Germany would be forgotten soon. But small David Portugal and the crying Ronaldo who wins at the end will be remembered.
Portugal never won a tournament before. As Germany never won against Italy. Or France always looses against Germany. Or France wins championships at home.

I guess it might have been a better thing that Ronaldo got injured. Now they played as a team as with Ronaldo they would have been forced to pass the ball to him all the time. Congrats Portugal!
