As long as there are several drivers who buy their F1 licence with their daddy´s money I don´t think this standardised engine will solve the " let´s see who really drives best" problem. Besides which firm would be willing to start making the engine themselves again after three years if the standardised engine is considered a failure.

    BIT OF A RANT

F1 is suffering from the high up F1 Board members and blasted Ferrari bosses as well. Both have bought harm to the sport by up setting the fans from there actions and questionable decisions. If this continues fans will fall away from the sport, not because what goes on the race track but what goes on behind the scenes. I can only hope these people wake up and stop strutting around like peacocks. Lets get back to solid racing and a better season next year.

    FEEL BETTER FOR THAT. ;)

    Tonight´s the night!

    The last race list:

    1. Felipe Massa Ferrari 1.12,368
    2. Jarno Trulli Toyota + 0,369
    3. Kimi Räikkönen Ferrari + 0,457
    4. Lewis Hamilton McLaren + 0,462
    5. Heikki Kovalainen McLaren + 0,549
    6. Fernando Alonso Renault + 0,599

Lewis only needs to hold onto the 5th position or higher to win the Championship.

it´s gonna be a huge race, I think. Alonso starts from behind Lewis...

Well, you've got to hand it to him - he's done it, and it's quite an achievement....

Do you think MacLaren slipped Glock a nice little back hander to lose 18 seconds on that lap which meant Lewis could overtake him?

    Cynical....me?
    Of course , it's F1.

Incredible ending. Actually both teams were celebrating the championship but Ferrari soon stopped for the obvious reason. Did not see Lewis put up his hands up when he crossed the finish line? Was he still thinking he had lost it? I mean it was not until the last hundreds of meters that he won it.

Anyway, well done and you deserve the championship!!! Congrats!

    Rant.......

What the hell is the matter with some people in this country today? I am referring to the UK on my rant, all I hear is Glock moved over and not stood his ground and Hamilton cheated and so on with the excuses.

    WHAT BULLSH*T.

For crying out loud we have waited 12 years for a new British champion and when Lewis gives us it all I hear is this rot! Something to do with the colour of his skin? Well I say this to all those who rock the boat. "Sod off and leave the guy alone.

    End rant....................

Well done Lewis you had us all worried in those last three laps but Lewis pulled it out of the bag to give Great Britain a new champion and I'm sure we will see a lot more of Lewis taken the championship again.

Well raced Massa you did all that was needed to try to be champion. I think we have a challenger here and Massa will come back in 2009.

Thanks to ITV over the last 12 years for a great courage just a shame about the ad breaks. Well its back to the low budget of the BBC next year for us but no ad breaks.

It´s gonna be a great season next year, I think.

Massa, Alonso, Hamilton,Kovalainen, Kimi...and many more wiht one year more experience and some obviously more hungry for the title.

I read that Kimi will have some 10,000 plus kilometers test driving during this winter for Ferrari....

From what I heard at my workplace yesterday, much of it seems to be 'sour grapes' from stick-and-ball-game fans who can't come to terms with the fact that, Internationally, 'Engerlands' performance this year has been somewhat.......

    ........pathetic ;)

...now, now...Trulli also did a 1.44 on those tyres on that last lap....Maclaren had calculated that Glock would be caught...and of course had Glock come in for tyres -like the front runners did - then Hamilton would have still had fifth....

..besides, he should have had the title a fortnight ago but for that dreadful decision in Belgium..

Personally I think Glock did a gentleman´s job there. If there was any "Senna blood" in him he would not have given anybody overtake him as long as he lived. So come on, I´m sure Lewis could give him a load of good wines and champagne as a thanx.

Most callers on the radio today were against LH with all sorts of silly reasons. I just don't understand what is wrong with folk today, no wonder LH left this country. Granted he had a number of reasons but I bet his colour was one of them. Ferrari (anti Lewis) fans were out of order this year with there dreadful insults, lets hope Ferrari will stamp it out in time for 2009.
