I have been a big Vettel & Red Bull fan from the start. Vettel has his flaws, passing Webber was unseemly to me, but that killer instinct probably drives ,no pun intended, him on the tract. I am reminded of Hamilton when he was starting.

I do hope more competition emerges next season and believe the engine swap will contribute as we do not know how the 3 engine manufacturers will succeed, I guess a fourth could emerge. The characteristics of the new power plants will cause new chassis changes as well. That perfect Vettel Red Bull balance may shift to another team.

I see Grosjean emerging as a great driver but Lotus needs a big money sponser. I do not understand Red Bull choosing Ricciardo, not a bad driver, but there seems to be better and a manufacturer's championship to be won.

The double points for the last race sounds like NASCAR, a gimmick to artificially excite the crowd. Next they could make Vettel race on three tires.

    Problems for Vettel

Red Bull's preparations for the Formula 1 season hit a new low at the final pre-season test.
World champion Sebastian Vettel failed to complete one lap at Bahrain on Saturday, but still had two breakdowns in the troublesome RB10 car.
It took Red Bull 150 minutes to get him on the track, after which Vettel stopped four corners into his lap.
When the team attempted to send him out again, the car broke down in the pit lane. That was it for the day.
Vettel, 26, said: "We obviously have lots of different problems we are curing. It's not the best situation to be in but we can't change it.

Shouldn't we start a F1 2014 thread as this is last year's thread.
