We're a hardy bunch, Carl. Fire away, and we'll do our best to keep up.

Don't get discouraged. It took me weeks to get my first picture posted and I still have problems!

So I guess this answers the question of: "How do you reach 23,858 posts in 11 years":)

Glad to see you are embracing the new technology Carl!!!!!

They also make a wireless keyboard, my wife has one she uses when typing at work.....I have no ideal the rationale behind it; but, she thinks it's the neatest thing since chicken fried steak. Personally my desk has more wires running accross it and hanging from it than down town Bangladesh.

Heh heh, I saw those too. It will be probably a few months before I can get one but I want one of those too.

My desk used to resemble a wire-making factory thanks to the desk top and all the juk that I had with it and the other electronic junk that shared the area.

Thank you Suzie, and ill continue to post images soon as things get settled down here again. Im returning this laptop today and am hoping to get the refund today or soon to be back online. Since I didnt pay by check, im hoping I can walk out of there today with the cash back in my account. If so, a brand new computer instead of a refurb job like this one-should be in my hands by Fri. I now wish I had listened to my gut feelings and bought the brand new computer to start with but, i listened to my brother rant and rave on it and I wish I had not done so. This will cost me at least a $70 restocking fee.

Anyway, hoping to be back online by Friday. Take care Suzie and ill hopefully be seeing you all then.

As I was at Wm having my newest War and Western Movies movie stills put onto another CD, I had several original WWII German pics with me that I got since about November. Well, one of these in particular was posted here for me by Ray.

Ok, whats the big deal? well, this foto shows a view of behind an MG-34 in Russia in Winter. Big deal right? well, check this out! The back of this foto is covered with the black paper of some foto album it used to reside in. I was holding this pic up to light while the others were being scanned and saw faint indentions where someone had written something. I figured what the hey and decided to peel and scratch off as much of the paper stuck to it as I could safely do without harming the pix.

I got enough peeled off to see some of the writing on back which gave my what unit this pix was take of. I saw it marked as ______ ____ Jgr Div 100 ______ Nov 42 Ost _____ ____ I cant make out the rest except what looks like to me is the number 54. (((CORRECT Jager Regiment)))) Anyway, the 100th Jager Division had a Jager regiment 54 in it as well as another Jager regiment that was J.R. 227. Anyway, as you all know my absolute most favorite East Front Battle is the Battle of Stalingrad and when I saw this info, my eyes bulged almost to the popping point and almost popped out of their eye-sockets. The 100th Jager Division at that time, was in the 51st Korps which was part of the 6th Army. Well as you all know that by the date listed on back of this pix, means this pic was taken while they were still fairly able to fight the Russians and this was at Stalingrad.

Ive got several other pics of units taken at or on their way to Stalingrad. These include a few from the 44th Infantry Division, at least one from the 24th Panzer Division, this one 100th Jager Division pix and a few taken of the 9th LW Flak Div as well as at either Gumrak or Ptomnik Airfield and one was of a LW RKT-name is long since forgotten by me so I could onnly guess who he was?

Anyway, to make things short, what was just an average day out and about for me, turned into one hell of a great day once I saw this stuff.

Just wondering if anyone else has made such discoveries with something they collect?
