On what basis do you make such a ridiculous claim?

.

They are nothing of the sort.
They have just won a civil war and the vast majority of the army in 1940 was expecting and expected to repel a British potential attack in Southern Spain.

Hence why it would make perfect sense to wait another year before invading the USSR.

I have understood it perfectly.
They will lack transport mainly and heavy weapons.
But they will prove very useful in urban warfare when brought up.

The Germans destroys 20,500 German tanks in 1941 alone.

Well yesssss.

The British will have been knocked out of Iraq in 1941/42 once Turkey is in the war and German troops can pass through.
And how can the British even get into the Mediterranean when the Axis control Suez and the Straits?

I have tried to be polite, and I do not mind educating someone new to the subject, but your post # 82 is simply absurd and demonstrates to me that you are not willing to accept any but your own preconceptions.

Further debate would be pointless, so I will withdraw from this thread and recommend that others do as well.

If its one thing Germany did not need is thousands of miles of more coast line to defend. When discussing entering the war Franco was given negative info by Canaris in secret and Franco made the demands on Hitler of equipment equal to about a year of German production as well as a large percentage of resources. Besides, even if Gibralter was taken it would not impact Britains ability to stay in the war.

On the fact that they never did:
Rommel attacked in january 1941,was stopped in the summer, and repelled in the autumn/winter
And,in 1942,the same happened .

As usual, the man has replaced knowledge by bias (typical for fanbois)

About the Turkish railways :at the end of 1951(!):it had 61 km of double track and 7537 km of single track. The number of trucks was 13375.Even today,a trip in Anatolia is a big adventure, with heavy risks .

I forgot :at 31 december 1951,there was still no railway bridge over the Bosporus:all trains had to be unloaded on ferries,to traverse the Bosporus.

And the claim of 15 Spanish divisions fighting before Leningrad,is one of the most ridiculous things I ever read:where would Franco get the manpower ? How would the Germans transport 300000 men from Madrid to Leningrad ? Where would the Germans find the resources to equip these men ?

More:2008:8699 km of main railways,of which 5 % double tracked,28 % electrified,25 % signalled .64 electric and 569 diesel locs.In 2011,only ONE railway is going to the former Russian border.
In 1940,the main railroad in Eastern Turkey stopped at Ezrurum (Source :AHF:Turkey joins the Axis in 1940 P 12)

And,about Spain:every one who in the seventies was travelling in Spain, knows that the Situation was there as bad ,or worse,as in Turkey .

But,I expect that the Bafa man will reply that the Germans would teleport every one .

You have quite clearly lost the debate then as you can not answer my points.

Would it not be thousands of miles less coastline to defend with all the Mediterranean now in Axis hands?

Thus as I said very adequate.
Maybe you should have done this research before you claimed Turkish railways to be non-existent.

They don't need one.
The ferries are all they need.
The Germans even managed to do this in world war 1.

My my I wonder how the Romanians managed with even more men.
Franco already had the manpower.
He has just fought the civil war and managed to mobalise 600,000 men.
The Spanish and Axis in general had more than enough small arms for urban warfare to equip them.
The transport like he rest of the troops would be mainly by rail with trucks, pack animals and or marching utilised from the railheads onwards as in OTL.

Did you ignore the fact the German Corps was to arrive at Gibraltar by road transport?
This was the German plan.
Or does this not suit your prejudice?
As for the Turkish railways as I mentioned and you seem to have ignored again, they were to deploy the Germans for the invasion of Iraq and Syria.
The attack into the USSR's Southern Republics from the railheads in Eastern Turkey and Iraq would be supported by several armoured divisions, mobile infantry and cavalry divisions.
The Africa Korps would be bringing a huge amount of transport with it and they are numerous pack animals available in the area.
Once the Southern area below the Caucasus mountains is captured supply can even come via the Black Sea.
All pretty basic logistics really.

By road :a good one,a very good one:it's joker day .
Totally excluded.

And,now,the final touch :

Memorandum by the German ambassador in Madrid(8 august 1940)

"Because of the debilitation resulting from the civil war,Spain is economically unfit to carry through the end a war lasting more than a few months,if she does not receive economic aid from Germany and Italy ."

As we know that Italy also needed economic aid from Germany,Spain would be an other Italy.

Have a nice harakiri.

One point about the Panzer IV Ausf G, You sya that it was more then capable of dealing with the T-34, Which it was except that in the year+ gap between your idea of invading the USSR The Russians would have built up minimum of 3 times the number of T-34's to Pz IV's of all models and that was for 1941 alone, Add in half of 1942, Allow for increased production as the efficiency increases and that number could turn into 6 times the number of T-34's to the Pz IV's.. Have to love those statistics dont you guys? =]

Von noobie, it is actually worse for Germany. The Ausf. F2-G models came as a result of Germany encountering the T-34 and KV-1 in the summer of 1941.. Since BE posits a summer 1942 invasion, Germany does not see the need to improve the Ausf. D model until Russia has deployed at least 1,600-2,000 T-34's and 400-600 KV-1's.

Likely the improved Ausf.F2-G's do not begin to appear until the spring of 1943, Tigers till spring 1943 and Panther the spring 1944.

Eh we established some time ago that Spain would need economic aid.
Now back to your fantasy that Germany cant roll a few divisions via road transport across Spain when they had managed the same across France and later vast amounts of the Soviet Union.
What is so impractical about this?
Do you know some thing myself the German high command the British did not?

You ignore the 8638 km of single track railway?
Why is that?

Are you using Soviet war time production figures?
