You'd be surprised, a similar thing was quite a problem with the magazine catches on the first SA-80s, they apparently would rub against the body and when patrolling or dropping for cover and the magazines would spontaneously drop out. This was quickly cured by placing a small guard around the release catch. I would imagine that it probably operates the same way as a normal trigger since most movements in combat or when patrolling are not too likely to pull the catch back. Pulling the lever forward and up strikes me as a bit fiddly, if you're being shot at you're going to want magazine changes to be as quick and easy as possible. That said I've not seen the weapon let alone been trained on it so I really don't know...
I think the H&K G36 is a pretty futuristic weapon, of course, it was just developed in 1990 and issued in 1995 to the German troops. I can fire all day on full auto without jamming. :kill:
Nobody mentioned the X8 modular weapons system? Neat looking prototype. I think I've fallen in love with the Tar.....beautiful weapon....
