I don't think one can equate vehicle with chassis. Otherwise, one would have to claim that the Pz. Kpfw. 38 (t) was manufactured for the duration of the war, too.

PzKpfw IV Ausf F2 was a pretty good alround panzer.

How is this even slightly relevant?

Such information is readily available from any number of written or internet sources in any case.

Tunic 36, what is with that name? Why does Merlin keep calling me that? I want Christian to stop commenting these smart azz, and negative feedback everytime I make a comment or a question. Why did he have to make the checkoslovakia issue suc a big deal. Sorry about that last comment Christian, but you really  me off.

There is a simple rule in all forums -- Don't mess with the staff, especially not with the board owner!

I await developments with eager anticipation.... from a safe distance

    1. I'm not being a smart-ass.
    2. My comment was not negative, but rather argumentation by example.
    3. I never wrote anything negative in regards to Czechoslovakia, and my point in regards to the correct nomenclature was not even directed at you, but at smeghead, who took my comment very well.
    4. Not everything on this forum is about you.
    5. I do not respond negatively to every comment you make - I can't remember doing so even once, not counting this post.
    6. Don't insult any member on this forum, whether due to their nationality or otherwise.
    7. Just so that we're absolutely clear: I own the forum.

    Alrighty then!

Germanm36tunic (Usually abbreviated on here to Tunic36, or just Tunic) was the username of Will Hardage from KP's re-enactment unit, he was on here for a bit before being banned (Slightly before you joined). What I think Merlin's getting at is that there is a certain similarity in your posting styles.

    whatever

HSU21, Merlin refers to you as Tunic 36 because you make exactly the same kind of snide remarks as the late 36 did, nothing to do with the subject in hand and in a very similar manner. As regards your spelling, remember the old battle cry ............................................
"BAD SPELLERS OF THE WORLD UNTIE!!"

The 20L50 gun on the Pz IIE had a penetration value of 20mm at 100m and 14mm at 500m (with APC). The 75L24 of the PZ IVD had values of 41mm at 100m and 38mm at 500m.
The PzII gun was a modified AA gun which fired clips of four shells, so rate of fire was very high, but the gun wasn't as good as the short 75.
None of the German tanks actually had much of a chance against the front armour of the French tanks and not much better chances elsewhere.
    R35 armour was 32 - 40mm thick
    H39 armour was 34 - 45mm thick
    S35 armour was 20 - 55mm thick
    Chr B1bis was 45 - 60mm thick

The PzIII 37L46.5 gun had penetration values of 35mm at 100m & 29mm at 500m
    The Pz38t 37L47.8 gun was good for 41mm at 100m and 33mm at 500m
