As an interesting side note, the Australian Cavalry today are an armoured group but still retain the emu feathers (Emu is the fastest bird in Australia)

    Location:
    Perfidious Albion
    Zulu.

Waterloo (largely arse, but the most incredible battle scene, starring a large chunk of the Russian army}.

Das Boot (Original TV adaptation. Hearing worrying things about the new one.)

    Come & See.

    Went The Day Well.

"Deathwatch" is a finely-crafted piece of work, subtle, eerie and powerful" - Clive Barker

Couple movies come to mind about Burma lately..."Merrill's Marauders" , which was Jeff Chandler's last movie and "Objective, Burma!" with Errol Flynn..give them both 3 stars out of 4 but watch out for the leeches.

England made some great war movies during the 1950's..maybe since their country was so broke after the war, they needed something to cheer them up...."The Desert Rats" with Richard Burton and the follow up "The Desert Fox" with James Mason as Rommel helped....worth checking out.

The Desert Rats is the story of the Australian Desert Rats at Tobruk from memory? Was a little cringey...but glad the Rats got their movie. Remember them marching on ANZAC day...
And Errol Flynn! Another Australian...you can stay.

The German version of Rommel. I hate dubbing.
