It seems to focus the problem somewhat, Halloween seems to be taken as blanket permission for all manner of acts of petty vandalism, all considered fair in the name of a fun holiday, unless you don't particularly want your car covered in silly string or your house pelted with flour and eggs.

Unfortunately in recent years some deaths have resulted in people not getting into the spirit of things and/or others not knowing when to just back off and leave people alone.

I wouldn't particularly want to see it banned, but as with so many things in the UK these days it would be great to see people behave a little bit more responsibly.

Talk about wreaking Halloween havoc! Hey, you should probably set up a few paintball machine guns around the perimeter and give out paintball rifles to all the kids the go trick or treating. Then they'll have to beat you in a paintball fight to get their candy! :D

My friend pulled a marvellous stunt last Halloween. A kid knocked at his door, and said 'Trick or Treat'. So my friend said 'ooh, treat please!' and took one of his sweets.

    :D

Man , Blaster , thats a great idea. Everything is handed to kids these days. Kids should have to work for their "sweets"

This is one of the most widely accepted jokes I've ever brought up. Besides, if if they lose, they'll still walk home with the thrill of a paintball fight. It'll be like a video game, excep it'll be for real. I'd love to try that. Or maybe Nerf dart guns would be better, since paintballs are messy.

Paintballs can kill in the hands of the wrong people. I would never give a child under 12 a paintball gun if I didn't want all kids under 12 to die.

Wait, maybe I put that wrong... :D

Seriously though, if you shoot someone from within 5 meters with a paintball gun you can cause serious injury, and outside that range there's very little chance that you actually hit. At least in my experience this is so. On another note, I have shed blood with every paintball event I've been to in my life.

Which is why the instructers always tell you to never fire that close...

I have had blood drawn by a paintball despite wearing the heavy overalls over my normal clothes. Ouch.

Which we didn't, for that reason. I got scratched nevertheless usually because someone shot me at the closest allowed range on my bare hands or wrists.

Apparently they don't. I don't shoot paintball matches but I do loan out my cheaper chronograph to friends who do.

What is a chronograph in a pintball context?

here,we must chrono in everytime we re enter the combat area..a referee checks your muz. velocity..... more than 300 fps .go back and adjust it...then chrono in again ...not right ,no play...this being at commercial paintball areas...at home some guys cheat ,but one can tell in time just by the sound of his gun ,,,repeat offenders get the sonny corleone at the toll both treatment...

Over here if you go paintballing you use a gun that they give you, rather than bring your own (or at least this is my experience), so I assume they check the mv before handing them out.
