Has anyone here watched the Russian made Great Patriotic War movie called: Zvesda (AKA) The STar.

download the VLC Player which is free and open source and plays all videos
download thru the links the film i showed you
download the english subs
put subs and film in same directory
give both of them the same name except for the extension.film will be a .avi and subs will be a .srt

this will work now on your computer

Trouble is, is that im electronically challenged and not confident ill do it correctly but-will give it a try ;-))

 

Carl - Gorehound's not wrong, but if you want it easier to do leave VLC Player alone and either use what you have (I'm guessing WMP/Quicktime) and if that won't play what you download then the best is MPClassic, although is about the same thing, it is safer and plays more types of files with better quality;

Download K-Lite Mega Codec Pack

Just download this file (click 'download mega' and then choose 'direct download 1'), install it, say yes to every option, and watch all your video files with media player classic. - as before - prod me if you need real-time help.

 

Thank you mate. Ill keep both as options. Ill have to see what mine has but I think its that quick time?? not sure?

 

I've seen the film last year & it was very good , got my copy from Amazon
