Hello! I am new here and I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Alana, and I am probably one of the few girls on this forum. I'm from New Orleans. I'm so glad that I found such a great forum! My friends and family are getting tired of my random facts and questions about WW2, so they are happy that I found this place, too. I'm looking forward to hearing from all of you guys! Alana

Hi I wonder if anyone can tell me where the Desert Rats landed on D-Day. My Dad was in The Rifle Brigade as a sniper and was wounded at Caen in a bell tower. I never got to ask him where he landed and wondered if any one can tell me where their main activity was carried out. I have always been interested WW2 activities and there but for!!! I never had to go through the hell our Dads went through. It would be great to hear from any-one who knew where he may have gone.
