    It's been a long time coming but I finally made it to the spot where the 348th FG began their journey.
    From training over the New England country side to Victory in Japan this is where the "Scourges of Wewak" came together.

    Digging around in our family archives and found another piece of Gold ! Members of the 348th strolling down the beach after off loading LST . Somewhere in the SWPA. Thats Merle center : on the back of the picture he had written, "Look at that swagger !
