Mr Chaos, as a point of advice i advise you to quote people's statements to which you are responding, like so: What is it that needs 'working out' ? my Young British Friend, CvM
Actually Brad, the countdown is more or less until I get my first tattoo. I already drink (not that much though) so that's not a big deal. Back in Italy you'd start getting 'drinks' when you were about 5...1 part wine and 3 parts water. Then as you'd get older the ratios would change. DUCE -55 Days
Remember young lady if that tatoo is ugly big it is going to hurt to take it off...... ! granted, and take my advice from another Italien, well in part. My mothers side besides Baer was Castelli. My grandmother had beautiful long flowing blonde hair but very dark brown eyes like my mother. of course she had long beautiful black hair and the Italien nose. quite striking she was ! may she rest in peace..... ~E proud to be of mixed blood....
Forty something, stopped counting at 29, ahh tatoos, now theres a thread we can start.... Dad was navy ww2 and merchant navy for years afterwards, was full of em, and grandad was covered, me? I got bawled out when coming home on leave had an anchor on my forearm, ok I was army but no brain no sense.
As far as the Tat goes Duece, all I can say is be SURE what you want to get. I have a few friends that messed up. lol
Tatoo's now is it? I had a grandfather, couldn't wear a wedding ring in the big woods of the Pacific Northwest, so, he had one tatooed on. Then, there was the children's names down the arm series. Couldn't really tell what was what though, because, as he aged, it all blended in to the tissues. Ships began to sink, and "Mom" looked a bit long in the tooth! Dad, well now, he didn't have a one. Up till the day he passed away, nary a thing. Perhaps it was due to his own father having enough for us all. Myself? Well, even though having served six years in the military, Came close once though. It was in Hawaii. Just got back to base from helping in getting all those folks out of SE Asia. I was barely eighteen, and thought it might be neat to have the British Union Jack on one arm, and the U.S. Stars and Stripes on the other. Well, it didn't happen. I have two sons, one adopted. The adopted lad, well, he's been tatooed more times than a Maori warrior. Now, at 24, he's thinking maybe he shouldn't have done it. The younger son, doesn't have an interest one in them. Recently, since my own dad passed away a couple of years back, I had thought of getting his name, birth year, and death year tatooed on one arm, but then I reconsidered. Most likely, for me, I'll not go the route of tatooing, but DUCE, if you do decide to go through with it, make damn sure you get what you want. They are more expensive to remove, if ever you decide to do so, than to attach to ones self. Just my thoughts. Bill [ 18. July 2003, 11:26 AM: Message edited by: Bill Smith ]
I guess it matter where it is, i mean, dont pull the Mike Tyson trick of putting one on your face. Mind you, tatoos in visible places will only count against you when trying to get a job. You are not a teenager 'in the hunt' forever. Are you gonna want that when your 80? Of course, it is your body, and I trust in your judgement. CvM
Don't worry guys, I've taken all thoughts into consideration: 1- "Make sure it's something you really want" To me a tattoo is useless unless it means something to the person wearing it. (such as Bill's would if he were to have gotten it). Those armbands and generic tattoos are a fad, and like everything else, they will go out of style. The two I am getting for sure both mean a great deal to me. Ever since I was little my family has called me "bear" or DUCE...and, well, I didn't really want a picture of Mussolini on me forever or have to explain that DUCE is pronounced DOO-CHE and then going into what it means. Rather than go through all that I've decided to get a bear paw with the word "bear" written above it. It's going to be my nickname forever so I figured it'd be a good place to start. The next one also has a bear's paw but this time there is a celtic sun around it. (celtic patterns have no begining and no end, a symbol of eternity.) Other possible future tattoos include: flaming bowling pin (woo bowling!) and more celtic designs..probably the trinity & cirlce combined. 2-"Watch WHERE you put it" Both of mine will be in areas that I can hide just as easily as any of my *ahem* piercings (tops of ears and naval). One is for sure going on my left shoulder blade (the right one is getting operated on, so it'd be pointless to get a tatto). And the other is going on my leg. Again, thanks for all your concerns guys... it's like one big happy family! DUCE - 54 days
Well, I am only 19. So, let's call Guiness so I can be in their book as the youngest senior highschool History teacher! I just have to say that there are two non-straight persons in these forums as far as I'm concerned. And Ducetta, I certainly like small and classy tatoos. I think they look very sexy in certain 'hidden' places... But just think it well.
Im 16 and soon ill be getting my eyebrows pierced and (if my employer lets me) a tattoo which will be cool. Even though im 16 ive been working for about 2 years and I feel like 60 anyway .
Jet...research the eyebrow piercings for sure...because they do grow out in about 2 or three years. (My cousin has one eyebrow pierced twice) Just keep that in mind...yay for the tattoo though! DUCE

Like Duce said, this is a family, i can give a little grief if i wish CvM
Yea i have heard about that Duce. My mate has one and he said that it just got stupid and he got rid of it because it was just a waste of money. But I'll see how it goes though.
