Thank you mate, and yes--they are :thumb:and they certainly are the real deals :thumb:. One thing I have to admit though--is on that pair of Cavalry Oberstleutnants boards--till I scanned them--I never realized they were East German boards. The easiest way to tell WWII German compared to East German boards--just look ay the end of the strap on the back side. WWII Boards will have blunt straps--DDR boards with have the pointed type. DDR stuff is starting to become worth money but im thinking ill probably sell these off just to keep them out of my collection.

As for prices--they range on rank, unit, availability, condition and such. I got the GenMajs boards about 5 years ago for around $450.00. When I got the Grossdeutschland pair of boards--they were still expensive but not near the some $2,500 or more that these would easily sell for these days--partly also due to the RKT connection as well as rarity of the boards and boards with battalion numbers on it instead of just with GD on them ;-)) Even without provinance on boards from Grossdeutschland--your looking on average well over $1,000 for a lower ranking officers pair--enlisted at about $800 and NCO in between.

Hi Jim, thank you and yep--I still have all of these. The only ones not pictured that I had now gone for a few years--was my Luftwaffe Rank insignia collection as well as my Army Forestry and Kriegsmarine collections. I traded them off all a few years ago for a big swap for Army Awards and such ;-))
