I feel like introducing myself. A lot has changed in 2 1/2 years, plus I dont post as much anymore, especially outside the members lounge. Plus, I'm self absorbed :D

My name is John owen Dreaddy, but my parents call me Jack, which is tradition here. I'm from Calgary, Alberta, but now live next to Hell's gates i.e Gander, Newfoundland. Yes, many a plane landed here, especially on 9/11 and some defectors during the cold war. Anywho, I'm 18, just graduated and enrolling in college soon. I like politics, where I'm progressive Conservative, the military, where my family has kind of a tradition on the go, and history, especially military history. On a more personal note I have attention deficit, likely OCD, and possible Aspergers Syndrome. I like thrash metal, prog rock, and classic rock and my fav bands are Queen, Metallica, Pink Floyd, Rush, Alan parsons project, and Jean Michel Jarre. I plan on being in the reserve component of the army and prime minister some day.

A little to much and a little off topic, but just wanted to cover everything

    Hi Skua!

Welcome back! You may remember me, I was active on the forums "back then", a little less than nowadays though. Good to see you posting, I couldn't believe my eyes!

The funny thing is I thought you were back, too, some time ago, so I happily sent Roel a PM- only after which I realized I had been reading a post you made almost two years ago. Stupid... :p but hey, this time's for real!
    greets,

    PP

    Thanks! :)

And of course I remember PanzerProfile! Give my regards to your brother by the way, I understand he's busy with studies and don't have much time left to use on the forum these days.

Skua, I'm so happy to see you back here! Welcome to your old home, we saved you a chair. :D

Unfortunately it is true, upon completing my BA course and attaining the title I moved on to a MPhil course which is manifold the workload of the previous prpgram. I really underestimated it and I am now feeling the effect - no log-ins for a whole month, I guess it might just be a new record for me.

I will try to be here, but there's nothing I can guarantee. Meanwhile my ratio of the total posts is dropping, which is a good thing of course! :D

You've really been on a posting spree the past few months! I don't know if I can allow you to approach my total post count...

(First to the banning button! ;))

Hi, I'm Tom. I'm 48 and I've been interested in WW2 stuff since I was little. My dad was a Pacific Navy WW2 vet, had a tough time with Kurita off Samar. My biggest interests are WW2 armor and aircraft.

    Cheers.

Hello all. It has been a little while since I’ve been active (with the exception of a post here and there).... A lot has changed in the last year for me and I haven’t had too much time to myself. So here is an update on my exciting life :D I have left the US and have moved to Israel where I now reside. This was more of an ideological move rather than anything else (call me a Zionist). Haven’t been this happy in a while regardless of how many loved ones I have left behind (family included of course). IDF is my next move... Soon I will be in uniform. Life here is great and better than expected. People are fantastic and food is delicious :)

I will try to keep you guys updated and post as often as I can. Shalom from Jerusalem.

Hi Slava. That's a pretty gutsy move. Good for you. Would be nice to see pictures of your new home. Hope you can now post more frequently. Always nice to get your take on things.
