    Hi.

    Found another one:

    Experimental Observation Tank Ka-So:

    unknown Chi-He type.jpg

Planned Type 1 Medium Tank Chi-He-based observation vehicle to replace the open-top Type 100 Observation Tank Te-Re in gun tank units. The main gun was replaced by a wooden dummy of a Tye 97 5,7 cm Tank Gun. Instead of a commanders cupiola a rotating periscope in an armored cap, a Type 98 0,75 m Rangefinder and an odopraph to evaluate the range from the battery baseline were placed in the turret. Additional wireless communication equipment for direct contact with the company command post was added, too. At least one prototype was planned in 1944 but further infos are not available.

    Data:

    vehicles built: unknown
    battle weight: 15 (metric) t
    crew: unknown
    armor: up to 50 mm
    length: 600 mm
    width: 2470 mm
    height: 2500 mm
    engine: Diesel engine
armament: 2 X Type 97 7,7 mm Tank-MG, in the bow and in the rear turret

    Yours

    tom! ;)
