    I also found an interview of the LST-314 commander which has a bit more detail. I am posting only the first page and the pages that address the torpedoing & sinking of LST-314. The full interview is 17 pages.

    In the same collection, I also found an interview with the commander of LST-376 which was also torpedoed and later sunk by friendly naval gunfire. There is also an interesting story at the end regarding Operation AVALANCHE.

    Another question : Does exist somewhere in the archives, documents whom indicate which unit embarques in which LST?
