Thank you, Carl, for the lovely words.

(I wonder if I could request a smilie for a curtsy or blush as those are amongs the responses I have needed for this thread! :D)

Hi kruska, I've seen a few posts of yours, but I don't think I've jumped in on the discussions. Thank you for the congrats. I'm certain we shall over time.

It's amazing to think I originally checked the Forum out while researching for the book about my parents, and have spent more time here than on the book! And now the Forum has led me to my biggest break ever in finding out about the annual reunion of my Dad's WWII battery - something he never knew about - and someone who knew him before the War.

My congrats as well, and echoing others you do add to the forum in ways far beyond simple information. I have been here for only a short time, but that said your posts have always been of interest and (as Carl said) delivered with class and dignity. Best to ya!

I am starting to get a very real sense that Michelle is going to be Prom Queen this year! There may also be several proposals of marriage!

I keep telling my husband I found somewhere I'm appreciated!:D

Just wait until it's your turn, d.g. :eyebrows:

Edit Oct 19: I tried to be humourous in response to d.g.'s humourous post, but my first line bothered me overnight as it seemed to minimalize my true feelings, which are:

    1. That I sincerely appreciate every lovely congratulatory post that has been made.
    2. That my great husband appreciates me considerably and shows me so many times a day and the comment seemed like a put down that I would never intend, and certainly never post!

    I'm a bit late but....

Congrats to the First Lady of the WW2 Forums! I'd say you were the Queen of the WW2F, but I've reserved that title for my wife! ;) :trouble:

Thank you, Otto! I'm honoured that you would grace me with the honorific. I think it's a good idea to reserve the Queen of WW2F title for your wife. You wouldn't want trouble with Trouble.:D
