Bad news... the work on the 503rd I was doing has faltered this weekend... thanks to Oktoberfest seasonals and a local beerfest. Wachusett Brewing (MA) Oktoberfest... Marzen style. Very nice rendition thereof. Smooth, balanced, very drinkable. New England Brewing (CT) Ghandi-Bot Double IPA. No idea how they got the name, and this isn't a german-style fall seasonal. It's a big, hoppy, double IPA. Normally, breweries on the east coast can't do that style anywhere near as well as west-coast breweries. Ghandi-Bot is the brew that defeats that precident. Loads of hops with a very restrained malt base. Luckily, the approaching weekdays promise less beer comsumption and more work on the last days of the 503rd.
I had this earlier in the week. My neighbor and I thought it was quite good. If you're in California, look for it. Kern River Brewing "Just Outstanding IPA"
Suscom- also a fan of Anderson Valley. Their Hop Ottin IPA is a pretty good example of an aggressive, west-coast style IPA. Haven't had Kern River, but have heard good stuff about them. Was drinking some Bell's (MI) Two Hearted IPA this weekend, a gift from a friend. Super stuff, goes great with a rack of applewood-smoked baby back ribs to finish off the long weekend.
Hmm, interesting. Having never tried cat piss myself, I can't make the comparison. I'll take your word for it though!
Sh lit z is grotesque. Tried to drink a mouthful. Blew it out through my nose. Yuck. Thank gawd the cottage beer industry is going gang busters south of the border. In the old days us Canucks would be treated like Kings and Queens if we brought a few cases of "real beer" down with us.
I like to test all Kind of beers...thats why i made a Facebook Group where we all Post pics of beers we tried..feel free to join.https://facebook.com/groups/555819317882350?ref=bookmarks
