Heinrich Springer. I was one of the last to be able to get his autograph due to poor health. I even had a letter from his Comrades thanking me for my interest in some of their famed WWII honored soldiers but since having lost some of my letters due to relocating.

My memory has slipped and I can no longer make out this Gents name. Ill have to study names when I next have time and figure his name out.

One of many I got from my friend: Remy Schrijnen-SS Strumbrigade Langemarcks only Knights Cross Recipient:

Rest in Peace Remy--I greatly miss your friendship.
The awards on this pillow were on display in a large cabinet he had built. Remy was one of very few who wore their original WWII awards to RKT reunions. Remy was one who never gave his up to be destroyed and to be replaced with the inferior 1957 reissues awards. When I visited him and his Frau--Johanna at their home in hagen in 2000-these awards on this pillow were still in the same position as you see here--the only thing chanced-was that he had given away his VNV Party badge to a rich American collector who tried to buy his awards back in 2000.

Remy as he was as a prisoner of War in a Belgian PW Camp well after the war. When I visited at his home, I got to look and feel the cap he was wearing when this drawing was made of him:

Otto Kumm, the last Commanding Officer of LSSAH. I was also the last person he signed a photo for due to very poor health and he passed away shortly after. I HAD--a letter from his Comrades stating such--but I no longer have that letter.

"Dutch" van Kirk, the navigator on the Enola Gay: :thumb: I met this fine Gent at the same gun show in San Antonio, Texas--when I also met Brigadier General and Commanding Officer of a Flying Tiger Squadron: B.Gen David Lee "Tex" Hill. Tex Hill lived in San Antonio at the time. Sadly, he has long since passed away. Thankfully Dutch avn Kirk is still alive. These Gents were great to get to know the short time I got to see them--all of about 1 hour.
    Pic 1 is Dutch:
