    Me, too. I've read Karen's book, I' m reading Sterling Mace's account of Pelelieu, and I've read the diary of the German soldier by Christine Alexander (one of our own) called Eastern Inferno. All are very good.

    You Americans get all the fun!

    This sounds like an important book, but ordering it from Australia looks problematic at best. Furthermore, my chances of a signed copy from the gentleman concerned are around the square root of Pi, so I'll just say many congratulations for re-energising your father's memories. I only wish other veterans had children such as yourself, ready not only to listen but to ACT before the memories dissappear forever with the man himself. For this, and for his service, salutations are more than justified, nay, they should be compulsory!

    Darn...my saluting has been used up for the time being!
