This is not all, it's a part of. I didn't take a photograph of everything, just my little WW2 Corner. More photo's coming. I'm about to buy a doll. WW2: Buying Uniform and Stiefel. If you got questions about something feel free to ask. You may and can ask everything, I'll be happy to reply.
Nice collection of print matter and equipment. I especially like your Zeltbahn, breadbag, Canteen and Messkit. I was just wondering if you could please tell me the dats on those items? I can't get any of the photos to enlarge on this computer and can't see any details. Anyway, nice stuff. Everything you have shown are items I do not own--at least yet ;-)) Also, I was wondering about the dishes. Any hopes of getting views of the bottoms of a few? I was wondering if these were Army or Luft dishes. I don't have any of those either but have been tempted to buy some many-a-times.
I thought it was a M35, gotta check it. It's rusty since I found this helmet. But still I found it and It belonged to a German Soldier, so I'll never do this away. Differences between M35 and M40 are those little holes isn't it?
Hey Sturm, if you ever come across anything with the Dutch military let me know, it's hard to find I think! Thanks!! waiting for more of your pics!
Hi S.K, R.A.D. dishes are cool too. Soem that I might consider picking up at some point are Army and Luftwaffe marked dishes. I don't really want many in that dept but maybe two or three examples of each. Also, KM marked dishes are getting harder to come by. I've been kicking muself since I did not buy a plate, cup, saucer and soupbown set that I saw for sale at a local gunshow not long ago.
The M35 has grommets inserted in to the vent holes on the sides of the helmet, whereas the M40 has the vent holes simply stamped out of the steel shell. As for the M42 - it has the same vents as an M40, but the rim around the edge of the helmet is not rolled under as on the M35 and M40.
Excellent! The leather is not even cracked. Good condition even if the soles are used. Did you try them? Thay look like a big 44/45 size. It must have been a big guy who wore those.
Hi S.K. Don't tempt me ;-)) or I might have to buy some from you :-D Send me a PM though, because if you are interested in selling some, I know of a place where there are many Gents who would be willing to buy. Also, let me know a price on one or more, I also might be interested in picking up some ;-)) Im more into Army but, Luft plates look cool. Im looking for the ones with the Luft Adler that has the drooptail.
OK I can't wait, I guess you are also in the process of scanning new ones and that usually takes time. I will post more militaria and stamps today too.
