The Type 99 Light Machine Gun was an updated version of the earlier Type 96. Once Japan had adopted the 7.7mm Arisaka Type 99 rifle an accompanying Light Machine Gun was also developed. Introduced in 1939 it was also used as a Light Anti-Aircraft Gun. Early models had a Monopod on the Stock and it was used like a Sniper Rifle and only issued to the best Marksmen in a unit. It also had a Flash Suppressor which was screwed on to the Muzzle via a special threaded section on the barrel.

Magazine Capacity - 30 rounds (Gas Fed Operating System)

    Effective Range - 800 Metres

    Rate of Fire - 250 - 900 RPM
