BT-42 self-propelled artillery piece? FINLAND. It was constructed from captured Soviet BT-7 light tanks and British 4.5-inch howitzers.
Yes, it is the BT-42. That would make it efestos's turn. eVO it is not your turn yet, and you should pick a more challenging tank then the Churchill "PETARD".
Seems that TA should have some sort of handicap in this thread... You've gotta make two intentionally incorrect guesses before you can actually participate. Impressive!
That last one is the turret only of a Tiger I. I think they are either in the process of turning it into a "bunker" of some sort, or preparing to remount the turret on a chassis which needed the turret removed for repair under it. Removing the turret was a necessary operation for too many of the Tiger's maintainance/repair operations.
That's a high tech German maintenance unit working on a Tiger I turret! Note the sophisticated tools, jigs and, how well maintained the work site is.....
IMO when you lack air superiority that sort of work site hidden in a small wood clearing makes a lot of sense, they do seem to have all the required tools. The amazing thing is that the turret seems to rest on a couple of oil drums, as it weights a few tonns one would expect the drums to be crushed, oil drums are designed to be stacked but not 6 or 7 high when full. Back to the quiz and in full "nitpicker mode". A Tiger I (H) it most certainly is though there is a minimal (2/1370 to be exact) chance of a VK 4501 (P) that used the same turret, to be even more nitpicking the chance is 0 aa IIRC the two Porsche were equipped as command tanks with turret numbers beginning with 00.
Would the oil drums be filled with cement or rocks and dirt? A simple improvisation that replaced a repair pit in the middle of a forest. It´s summer.
LEONARDO DA VINCI'S Tank. Note the sloped armor and the absolute reliability of the propulsion system. Unfortunately, it appears that his speed was not very high and cross-country capabilities were very limited.
Surely that however, would be compensated by extreme firepower from what seems to me like 40-50 10mm guns.
The real problem with the Da Vinci tank is that (as portrayed) it would be completely immobile. The cranks would turn one wheel against the other, it could go nowhere as drawn.
