I would prefer that Brady be suspended for a year and the team lose more than just two draft choices. But then I'm a vindictive SOB.

Looks like Brady will appeal the "probably tampered" verdict. The terminology of NFL verdict does sound weak, Brady will probably win the appeal and escape without a scratch. Dang.

Despite being a Patriots fan, I hope he doesn't. Though it seems like it might go the other way as you mention.

My guess is that it will be reduced to a 2 game suspension. They'll split the difference so no one is happy.

Hardly odd at all. Said the list was incomplete and nowhere near comprehensive.. Besides, was referring to the Al Davis Raiders. Some people may have been just a glint in their fathers' eye when the 70's happened.
The Raiders were known for accepting players that were trouble makers, and couldn't find work with other teams.
Ever heard the phrase: "Just win, baby."? - Al Davis...He was referring to the fact the Raiders did things differently, and would do anything to win. Kinda like the Pats, who pretend to be the good guys.
Al wore the black hat, and loved it...Miss that guy.
    And Howard Cosell.

I'm no lawyer..... but seeing as how Brady stonewalled the investigation and refused to cooperate (i.e. refused to produce text messages/phone records the NFL requested), it's hard for me to figure how he has grounds for appeal. All Goodell has to say is "If you want the suspension reduced, give us the text messages." Which I'm guessing would probably just show Brady's seemingly obvious complicity in the dirty deeds. While the league doesn't have subpoena power in this, neither are they under any obligation to reduce the suspension.

And just my worthless opinion, but when smoking a joint on his own time can get a guy a 4 game suspension, it would be a shame if deliberate cheating to gain a competitive advantage carries a lesser penalty.

    Interesting, sto.
Would Brady use text message to inform staff his preference of ball psi- seems unlikely. Maybe Tom had some weird stuff on his phone that he didn't want to leak.
Wonder if NFL quarterbacks are issued team phones. Otherwise, how could they ask for personal records.

Yeah, but the whole thing stinks. I don't believe it is as bad as they are making it out to be. I just find this whole thing somewhat ridiculous. Regardless, and I am not a Pats fan, the Colts would have still lost by 30 pts.

The belief on the part of many, including me, is that this has been going on for years and years. Like for at least a decade. The Colts game is beside the point. Of course the Pats would have won that regardless.

I agree completely. I think every QB in the league does similar activities to give them an edge. Brady just attached himself to two morons who got caught.

It is like the NFL gives chances to cheat.
How hard would it be to standardise and maintain ball integrity.
How hard is it for an inmate to obtain drugs or a cell phone.
How hard is it for an immigrant to cross the border.
Can you recite the alphabet backwards.
Who won the '39 world series.

Hearing now that the NFL is paid to salute/tribute the troops.
The pink theme was a sham.
    Tax the NFL.

Not anymore. They recently (in the last month or two) gave up their tax exempt status.

Very very nice, respectful National Anthem tonight.

Who was that for heavens sake. Say her name at the end of the song you dweebs! Don't thank the advertisers that paid for that time slot - like they did!!!

Even Canadians HATE folks that try to turn it into Rap, falsetto voice...

Dang that was a nice one.
