You edited my post. I did not just post a citation to the article(as you did with the book in question) but the entire text of the article as it appeared in the journal cited.
Your attempts to personally discredit me rather than addressing the substance of the issue being debated is an ad hominem tactic. Such tactics add nothing to the debate and have been prohibited in the past on these forums. I won't presume to tell the mods how to do their job however.

People, please, lets not get nasty on this, it is starting to get a little... out of hand.

Anton - bringing other debates into this one is not a good thing. debate this topic only - if you want to debate Tibet, go do it in the Tibet topic.

I don't want to have to start editing posts and/or warning people.

Kaiser, this is exactly the kind of thing I'm warning about!

Majorwoody's age has nothing at all to do with this debate.
Majorwoody's debating style has nothing to do with this debate.

    DO NOT DO THIS

My apologies then Ricky. The point has been made though.

Perhaps Majorwoody need not anyhow associate me with anyone who does not back the Americans in every single debate?I am not Anti-american.Thought it does not necessarily mean i am pro-america.Nor am i communist. Not every Chinese is a communist seems to be the lesson of the day for him.

However, his labelling of me as such from his previous post would, iirc, be liable for a summon to court under American law?

It's not clear why you felt the need to interject yourself into this thread at all unless it is just an attempt to discredit majorwoody wherever you may find him. He was clearly addressing anton and I don't see how your comments regarding your nationality and political beliefs relate to the issue being debated in this thread. Am I missing something?

    Not to drag this out...

    Kaiser:

I personally can't see where he makes this claim. However, if you (or anybody) has a problem with what anybody has said or implied about you then you should contact a Moderator or Admin via PM. Never, ever, get into an insult-contest on the forums, because that simply makes you as much to blame as 'them', and would very likely end up in disciplinary action against you.

    Grieg:

you posted while I was replying, so did not see my response - however, please leave such responses to the Moderators, especially (as in this case) when you are involved in the discussion that has caused a problem*.

    * Not an implication that you caused anything, just an awareness that it is easier to resolve such issues from a more 'neutral' standpoint.

The way I see it is everyone's words are there in black and white for anyone including mods to read. I don't intend to file formal complaints no matter how insulting someone becomes(though I will defend myself when someone else does so). I prefer to allow the readers to judge for themselves as to who is addressing the issues and who is merely hurling insults. If the mods don't feel compelled to enforce compliance with the rules regarding ad hominem attacks I don't intend to instruct them in how to peform their duties.

well then,so who are the "comrades from that debate"?
And the people's liberation debate team?

I do feel that someone here have long regarded me as a strong supporter of communists. To me,i feel that it is a stereotypical classification. The evidence are all over at the Tibet debate.Words that has been put into my mouth.Like Grieg,i do not intend to teach the moderators what to do.

Ricky, throughout the time i am here, have i presented myself to be a demented or crazy poster that picks a fight with almost everybody?I hope not.I certainly can't imagine you,the rational brit that you are(i'm being stereotypical now am i not?LOL), know that i am not, like Grieg said, insulting majorwoody wherever he may be.

Grieg: How would you know how a bullet feels like unless you have one shot at you?

Finally, well,if everyone thinks that i have been an irrational being making a fool of myself. Then i will certainly stop responding to this particular matter then.

    *Bangs head on wall*

    Taking the last post first:

Kaiser, no, you have no so far been an offensive or insulting person. So please don't start. Jumping in on this, especially in the way you did, after a general warning not to is not a smart move.

This is a good practice that I would encourage everybody to follow, rather than wading into the fray while the offender is having his knuckles rapped.

So....what's gonna happen if (more likely when from what I've heard) N Korea fires a nuke at someone?

Do they have the missle capability though to complete a strategic nuclear strike against a foe such as the States or Russia (they're both stil superpowers right?)

Not that they need missiles to deliver an explosive.

North Korea cannot build a devestating first-strike capability against the USA, Russia, or China. That was/is beyond the capabilities of the superpowers, even with the mighty budgets etc etc available to them.

North Korea can currently hit most of her neighbours, including Japan. However, I shudder to think what would happen if the poor saps decided to nuke China...
