All we hear across the pond is old Obama is doing wonders and really digging into the mess, mind you on saying that they say the same thing about Gordon Brown who has really screwed up big time.

So has Obama done the same?

Well, he hasn't dragged anyone into an unwinnable war so that puts him 2 points ahead of the man he replaced ;)

I think I liked the wars better. At least my 401K was worth something and I had the prospect to retire in a couple of years......

Well, give BO time, Stefan. He is lingering longer in Iraq than his very left wing supporters would like. And he is planning on surrendering to the "moderates" of the Taliban in Afghanistan. So he has even more opportunities to screw up a won war and ruin a positive position in Afghanistan. Yanking defeat out of the jaws of victory is just his style...

Just like he's done with the stock market..as TA Gardner points out..He is NOT the friend of the economic engine that once powered the US and the rest of the world. Every time he speaks on the economy, the NYSE drops 50 more points.

Besides spending trillions of $ to pay off his supporters with money the US doesnt have, he has let the NYSE drop even more in total wealth. And dont forget the upcoming tax increase (and not on just the evil rich...everyone will pay through the nose to prevent the Gorester's biggest fraud, "global warming".

If this were the USSR, the Premier would now be residing in Lenin's Tomb for the terrible screw ups he is directly responsible for.

But what do you expect of his on-the -job experience. He's never been a leader of any major organization or governor of a state. The kid is without experience! He is a total LOSER; an image, not a real leader with experience, wisedom, and knowledge

BO is the most expensive on-the-job-training case in the history of the world (and it's going to get a whole lot worse)

No, he will just open the gates to Gitmo and let the self confessed terrorists out, open our borders and let the war come to us.

Since Labour came to power here in the UK back in 1997 there has been a marked increase to immigrates coming in un-vetted because the system can not cope with the influx of these people. Even the present Labour government said the system just can not cope and there figures are a best estimate.

For every one checked a good twenty if not more slip by unnoticed and disappear in to sociality. How many are here just to exploit the UK? And how many are hear to preach hatred against us?

It seems to me politicians are feathering their own nests while the country slowly goes to hell. I suspect the U.S. has a similar problem.

Stefan, you sure don't know whats REALLY going on in the World do you? Meaning no disrespect for you & your well-educated self but, c'mon dude-open your eyes to reality-not to a war-gamers dream. IF you lived here-you would see things the way the rest of us do on these matters.

The only other thing I can say at the moment goes to the rest of the repliers here--well-fraggin'-said.

Give osama-lama-ding-dong time, and this great Nation will be so weakened-that two girlscouts could take this Country with Pea-shooters.

That is a good point Carl. I find a lot of the reading of British politics interesting but I do not post because I am not exposed to the whole story. It has been a long while since I lived in the UK so I am sure things have changed a whole lot since the times of the Great Iron Lady. Now I do give feedback on general issues but nothing specific against the current PM or other politicians. Things are really being shaken up over here and much of that is rooted from the media. Do we really know what is going on or how things are? Hmmm.

I agree and we are going to hell at warp speed, not just slowly and taking everyone with us.

Hi Ike, many thanks and I try to do a simular thing. I know I don't know enough about British politics to do more than give an outsiders opinion on some things. Im glad we have fine folks like Richard, Gordon, Jason and all-who do help us understand what's going on in their great Country.

I admit that if I had not been born an American & in Dixie, by the grace of God, that I would not mind being born British.

I fully agree about the media. Those people are some of the most vile people there are & should get their noses broke-(Hurst in particular-and first) for sticking their noses into Govts business and also being one of the most prime of reasons-why we went to war with Spain during the Spanish-American War. They cried foul about the USS Maine exploding and automatically cried that Spain was the cause-now we know better. I would think that those running our govt would learn from that lesson-but apparently not.

And with Osama Barack in the WH, his cuts to the military means that the new intelligence agency will be CNN. That will drive Osama's foreign policy. Hmm, Mister Brown would you like 110v microwave to pop your popcorn when watching those NTSC DVDs we gave you?

Ike,wellsaid. I would actually laugh about cnn being the new intel agency-if it wouldn't hurt so much because that is oh so true.

I hadn't heard about that Microwave thing--why would he give someone a microwave to begin with? and as far as im aware of one that doesn't run on European electrical currents without an converter.

Fffft-that sure is embarassing to hear happening. A microwave?!?!?!?! That's almost as bad as giving someone a cheap $1.00 Watch that are sold at Dollar General stores. Give me the PMs address and I will give himsomething worth much more than a-a-a-  microwave. I HOPE he collects WWII German items? ;-))

I have single photographs worth more than that microwave.

I must admit I hold no hope to Gordon Brown's effort to get us out of the rot. I have a nasty feeling things will go down hill even faster this year. Its going to be a real bumpy ride for both of our country's thats for sure.
