I tasted an earwig once... kind of a gross story. i left my whistle outside once when i was a child, when i noticed it I put it in my mouth and sucked in instead of blowing out. Well little did I know, an earwig was inside the whistle and i sucked the little sucker in my mouth.. it wasn't very tasty at all. Needless to say that earwig went airborne for several seconds when I spit it out of my mouth. But not before it biting my tongue. So here's a life lesson...never suck in when playing with your whistle!! Ohh, that didn't sound right! Ahh, you get the point
Where do I live? I live in Canada Is this a trick question? I was kid then okey! I wouldn't do that now! lol
Yes, kids do silly things. And so do some adults too, like eating some of this strange food list on this thread....
naga's, scotch bonnets, there chilli's! and eff...g hot too, and fried baby octopus, that's as bad as I go..
I had a period when I avoided it for taste reasons. Right after I visited my god parents and tasted a very good home made mayo. Tried making it myself but never got anything as good. Now I avoid it to cut down on fat. I've develope a liking for the Brit habit of vinegar on my fries. All this talk of different foods ... will have to head for the local buffet for lunch. Sushi and kemchi with some other odds and ends .....
Ive made Mayo too. Simple reciepe is Oil and Egg(s) + some salt, pepper and anything else that suits your fancy. I admit, my one and only attemt at homemade mays wasn't perfect but, it was very edible ) Ive never tried vinegar on my fries and most likely will never do so. I can't stand vinegar in any form or with anything even as a Salad Dressing. I dont intake mayo often enoughto worry about fat intake.
My buddy's from the phillipines. He introduced me to it which I now love. except for balut, which i have not tried.. (for those who don't know it's a boiled day old unhatched duck ) But anyway my favourite filipino food is punsit and lumpia.. excellent, better than chinese food in my opinion!
MMM Kangaroos. You know we are probably the only nation in the world that allows its people to eat one of its national icons.
Like well flavored steak. Although I have been told by other people that it tastes and feels just like Chicken when done on a BBQ. I do know it is one of those meats that tastes different based on how it is cooked.

Isn't your national icon also on the national "Hit List" to the tune of a few million a year to control their population? Seems like I read or heard that there is a special commission that hires out hunters to kill the "icon" to keep it from becoming more of a "pest" than a number of the agricultural persons feel it is. Of course at least the 'roos are an indigenous "pest", not an imported one like rabbits or cane toads.
