Hold on, they haven't actually explored the thing yet.
And how's this for confirmation bias-
“Well you’d be hard-pressed to convince me that’s anything but an aircraft, for one, and two, that it’s not Amelia’s aircraft."

You are right - I forget how many times i've heard that they have found her...If she ditched so lightly that the aircraft is intact then what did she do? Get in a raft?

I mean, it would be great if they're right for the first time, but I'm not holding my breath.

It would be incredible if there was any kind of rescue opportunity anywhere close to her when she hit the wet. I'm betting she knew that.

The plane being in good shape tells me they won't find any bodies in that wreck. They would have had time to bail before it sank. Kudos, again, to her for that.

Some folks tried using them as tractors.

The ideas for these are almost limitless…I wonder how much a standard sedan cost back then to compare.

Wookie who's here! There's a great shot somewhere of the original Wookie actor sharing notes with the latest Wookie actor. They look like they're taking a break from a pick-up basketball game.

The little guy in the middle is - Arnold Schwartzenegger!

"Supposedly" : my cousin bought three of these in San Diego back in the early 70's. He was planning on building one and selling the other two but well he was Navy and married and things took a $hit.

One of my chiefs in the '80s had a jeep like that, he'd bought it shortly after he got to San Diego. Could it be...
