    Good afternoon everyone,

My name is Rich and I have been a addict (oops, Enthusiast) since I was a kid watching Midway with my dad. I have read a lot specifically on the Pacific Theater as I have a strong interest in naval combat (games, books,etc.).

I'm looking forward to meeting all of you!

Thank you all for the welcome! To answer the above, no I am a yankee trapped south of the international border (the Ohio river!) I find that the river should have been a international border because south of there people start to talk funny and use weird terms (such as buggy=shopping cart, etc. For more information see The Southern Word Homepage: NetSquirrel.com )

    On that note GO MICHIGAN!

    that is a flawed dictionary.

    It left out:
    arn
    fixin or fixinta
    cheer
    the other definintion for poke
    chaw
jeetyet? (this is a actually a compete sentence)

And comomback, as in "straightner out, comomback". Always used to get that sentence when I was backing into a loading dock south of the Mason Dixon line.

I guess that would be alright as long as it wasn't Bill McKinney saying it, that would just be weird.

    They also didn't mention:

Eyes - those things on top of the stove that get hot.
Shurf - The head county law enforcement officer. Actually, the correct title is the High Shurf. His assistants are called "depa-tees."
Mi-sippi - the state immediately to the west of Alabama
LA - Lower Alabama, the portion of Florida roughly west of Apalachicola
