This one is for: The Treasure Bunker... for the best in Militaria.

He has some nice offerings and some decent prices on some things. I also like that he sells metal soldiers as I used to collect them long ago. However, though they are nice-buying a few can really stretch your pockets a might.

Would I buy from this dealer? most likely. However, im always spending most or all availabl funds on stuff at my favorite dealers sites so I might not have funds available in the event I do think of looking at what he has to offer.

Does he have a good Rep? I don't know? I'd be willing to buy something from him if he had something I really needed at this time-such as pairs of Collartabs that I need to complete my Army Tabs collection.

Next is: Collector to Collector Militaria

I've visited the site a ew times and enjoyed the items he does offer for sale. However, i've never bought anything from him mainly because all my money always went "elsewhere." I liked the prices on his Helmets and Feldgendarmerie Gorgets.

For SKIPPER in particular--he has some Free French items for sale.

Would I buy from this dealer? Certainly. Just depends if I have available money at the time I think of visiting his site.

Also, you will have to forgive me for doing only one or two of these at a time. That's all the time I have to do these. Anyway, if some Moderator wants to clean this thread up some? it's fine by me.

    Good Morning Mr. Evans

Hi Tfer-it certainly looks good. I am familiar with the maker-logo but I can't remember what they are called? This badge to me looks like one that people call a "Pillow Crimp" IAB. That "pillow" comes from the top end of the pin and catch system. I THINK this is one of them but not 100% positive. If you want to send it to me to look at-and do so insured for at least $150 which doesn't cost much added to the postage. I always say to insure it for more than the item is worth because knowing and being shafted by the US post office a few times on things, I make it a habit of over-valuing an item befcause if they lost it, or it gets damaged or stolen-then they darn well need to make it worth my while to recover the value-as well as travelling and phone expenses as well as a little something for "my time." Im certainly interested in the badge, and if you want t send it-please do so soon or I might not have available funds for it for this month. I got hit hard with soem medical expenses as well as expenses going out of town that had not been planned for.

I will say up front that I DO have a Money Order-which is a Western Union Money Order-made out for an amount that I think you will like ;-)) I originally got this money order about 2 months ago intending to sent it to my bank for deposit but, never got around to doing so-so I still have it. Also, if your not here in the USA? Western Union Money Orders of the type I got-are good here in Country-and in any other Country other than New Zealand.

Please send me a PM to let me know what you want to do? and ill send you my address and phone number (in case your here in the States, and we can do this transaction.

For the maker-the name of Wernstein (SP?) comes to mind. I don't know if the name is correct as im not greatly knowledgable on Badge makers with the exception for the more popular makers and the ones I have on mine, such as: F.O. (Friedrich Orth) KW (Karl Wurster) "A" (Assmann) G.H. Osang, etc.

Also, if there are other things you all want too get rid of-let me know as either I will like to get them and or I know others looking for particular items.

    Take care and best regards--Carl.

PS, it's times like this, that I wish I had the new reference book that's out on Infantry Assault Badges. If I had it? I could look up the name and location of the manufacturer. I am not sure if the markings on some badges are the same as you will find for makers marks on other badges and or Iron Crosses. Im ASSUMING they are, and I might be lucky enough later today-to find the name of the maker on your IAB. If so? ill post it here when I find out.

Two more Militaria Dealers for you to peruse.

The first one is Gerold Stetzelberger of RELIC HUNTER WW2 ORIGINALMILITARIA

I've never done business with thsi guy so I don't know how he is to deal with? However, one can have an opinion about his wares and their pricetags.

He certainly had a decent amount to offer and did have a few things at a decent or fairly decent price. However, many of the items I saw were anywhere from about 35% over-priced to about three times over-priced. Everything I found on his site, I have seen on others and every item or like item, can be found from a bit to much cheaper. I do not have a problem with a dealer pricing their items at whatever prices they decide to set but--knowing where I can find the same or like items that he has-cheaper-then my money goes for the pieces at lower cost. Anyway, you be the Judge.

The second dealer is John Casino, I have purchased from him before most notably a pair of enlistedmens Neberwerfer Shoulderboards. It's been years since i last bought from him-but that's not because I don't like doing business with him-but that I already committed to spending money elsewhere-before I thought of looking to see what he has for sale. Will I buy from him again--hell yes!!! His website is: German Militaria Index

More dealers will be added sometime tomorrow.

The badge is a good one and, the maker marks are an WK and not a WW or MM--even though that is exactly what it looks like-but the closer you get to the makers marks-you can see a "stylized" K-over the stylized M. I forgot to write down the makers name when I saw an example of this same maker posted by an Infantry Assault Badge "Guru" I know that's a member on another site im on. He posted his example of this maker though is slightly different but-I can see enough of its details to know its a good badge. So, if you want to make a deal for it-let me know before I start looking for stuff to pay cash for. Im alread looking around to on a few dealers sites and inquiring on trade items. So please don't keep me waiting too long-I found one two seperate sites-two pair of VERY hard to get-and especially in that condition they are in-Signals Officers Collartabs sets. One pair is even tailormade as you can tell by the quality of materials used and workmanship involved.

Hi E, thanks for you input on the first of the last two dealers. I've only bought from John Casino and not the other Gent. That sets my mind a bit more at ease ;-))

I almost forgot. I did try looking through two more sites today-one was Paulvondrak-but the site link was broken I guess? and I didn't see squat. The other I have not yet decided if im going to post it publicly--yet-that is, not until I get any word from them on a possible trade deal I want to make with them. These guys ave both normal and abnormal prices and a good selection of items. They have too many things available and I don't want to screw myself and chance losing any item I want - providing they do indeed wish to make a trade? Once I find out for sure either way, ill then post their site here along with a better review ;-)) Lets just say that im going to keep you all in suspense for awhile as to whom I am referring to. I'll look at two other sites when I get up tomorrow morning-or shall I say-later this morning.

PS, Andy posted some pics of some possible future Hauptmanns/Rittmeisters boards for me over on Frank & Brians site-if you wish to see them? These are most definately researchable and I think with no research done, I THINK I already know who these boards were used by? ;-)) Lets also say that he is VERY famous as well as VERY highly decorated ;-)) I'll also be doing that research later during the day to confirm whom I believe these to have been owned by ;-)) I aint saying anything more just yet-because when I finally know the answer-by confirming it-it is guarenteed that knowing who wore these-will knock your socks off. :wolf: :-D

Hi Tfer, it hasn't arrived as of this time but I guess sometimes PMs can arrive rather slowly? ;-)) I also had not had time to be on earlier today as I spent the day helping a Gal-Pal move house. Just got back here as of about 2 AM and im dog tired. Ill be here after I get up in the morning-whenever that will be? If any problems sending PMs-just post here and I can send you an email or you can have my phone number.

I don't know if i mentioned it yesterday but at least one of the two Infantry Assault Badge "Gurus" I know posted pics of his example of that maker. Yours pretty much matches his and I like it. There is only a slight difference from your with his with part of the catch system-but that's no big deal and that happened all the time.

I forgot to mention that the IAB guys on another militaria website I just discovered yesterday and signed up with-also liked the badge ;-)) I'll try to get back here tomorrow with the info I got about this maker-not much to go on except name and location of the badge maker.

The IABs in my collection are made by: F.O-for: Friedrich Orth of Vienna-one of my favorite badge makers, an unmarked and semi-hollow-B.H. Meyer, an Assmann-which has the stylized "A" on it-and one that has no maker and im not good enough at identifying all the different badge makers in order to figure out who made it. I need to get Sasha Webers excellent book on IABs.

    Some more Militaria Dealers.

Ol' Army Joel's Military Collectibles I just found this one today while looking for something else. He has a few nice items, sountds repuitable and has some decent prices.

Here is one I have known about for many years, but fogot about long ago-who always had a selection of stuff for sale. WELCOME to TIESTE'S HOMEPAGE. He has some good average prices to high prices. Also has a decent selection of books and such too.

Siegmund Stephan -Militaria- Home Page Never dealt with this dealer before but I heard he has a decent rep. He has a LOT of stuff for sale-stuff for almost any collector and reenactor. SOme original items but mostly repop stuff.

Weinand Militaria. Military War Relics, Antiques and Collectibles, RJW Militaria. Very little to offer so he might be just getting his "legs" on building up a business.

Westland Military Antiques Westland Military Antiques. Ive never dealt with him but have wanted to buy from him-just never enough funds left after I visit my usual several militaria haunts. He has tons of stuff for sale and should interet any collector.
