His weight is more than 50 kg. I have one more picture of him jumping near me, he's as tall as me while standing on his rear legs.
I had a Siberian husky a number of years ago, sadly we lost him in questionable incident. However thinking of get a cat,I have some doubts.
If you can, get two cats. There are a lot of cats at the animal shelters that need and deserve good homes. Just think about how you will feel when you realize that you just saved two lives, of deserving animals. Promise me one thing, if you get a cat OR TWO, don't feed them IAMS cat food. Talk to your local vet and buy the pet food from them. My cat got urine crystals and it hurt him a lot. The cats cannot absorb the minerals in this brands cat food products, I can speak from personal experience on this subject. Also, one importnat thing with cats, as with dogs, get the animal the required immunization shots: including the FIP shots.
Domesticated rats are really the cutest and sweetest of animals. They're small, furry and incredibly curious about the world; what more could you wish for in a pet? There's even a chance they'd scare off a burglar. Mom likes them too.
It seems I'm not in good time to get cats.Anyways thanks for very informative advice, sure I will remain with my promise if I get two cats.
For all those pet lovers out there, like me, there is a sober note for Canada; becasue of irresponsible people there are just over 250,000 cats and dogs euthenized each year. I fyou can adopt a cat or dog, or both, you will be giving life to an animal that if well looked after will repay your kindness with hours of play and companionship. I can speak from personal experiences. If you can donate to a charity that helps persons with pets for surgery and the like that too can really help. Check out any info on societies for animals in your local areas for monetary and physical labour donations to help those forgotten animals. I gave up my beer money to try and help, and believe me that was like pulling teeth from a really hungry wolverine; but when I saw the fear in the animal's eyes in the local SPCA office I could not say no.
First off, on a serious note, just agreeing with what Mutant Poodle said. If you want a pet, go get one from your nearest shelter. There are loads of neglected etc pets out there that need a good home. Secondly - I also keep tropical fish, mostly Guppies. I have also had Zebra Danios and Glowlight Tetras in my tank, but guppies breed so damn fast there is never any room for anything else. I have a 3ft x 1ft x 1.5ft tank* (I think - it may be slightly bigger), and at least once a year I have to remove around half the guppies and sell them off to a pet shop. I did take some pictures of my nicer-looking guppies a while back - if I can find them I will post them. * 1 metre x 30cm x 50cm for all you Europeans!
Thanks Ricky. The perfect solution for Guppy overpopulation is carnivorous fish. Try Botia Clowns, just two of them will be enough to consume almost every guppy that gets born.
Or Angel Fish. Nice-looking, but vicious. I like baby guppies. I used to selectively breed them to get nice looking fish.
I've also got fish. My "pet" is an Mbu Pufferfish (Also refered to as a Giant African Freshwater Puffer fish), he's currently only a baby at around 20cm long, but for personality is unbeatable, he begs for his food and will even take it from my fingers!. As for livebearer overpopulation problems, Angel fish can be a bit scrappy, and may eat more than just the babies. If you want something unusual Glass Catfish are well worth a go especially as they don't grow too large and wont manage anything as large as a neon tetra, so are Golden Puffers (I have two in my smaller tank), but they can be a bit nippy, and are not that common. For a more permanent solution you could always try a few red bellied pirahna! (No please don't!)
