Great story about your grandfather Jdombr. I enjoy listening to stories about the Italian Front, especially after reading a book about the 45th Division and what the soldiers there went through. It's truly a shame that the stories of the men who fought and died there are being forgotten.

    Welcome to the forums Justin.
Thank you for posting your story and pictures of your Grandfather.
Your story was of great interest to me as my father also fought in Italy, and in May this year I made the pilgrimage to Italy for the 70th anniversary of the Italian Campaign.

The Italian campaign will never be forgotten.

A very nice article on your grandfather, JtO. I see he is living in the general vicinity of where my family is from.

My family generally hails from the Grant/Douglas county area. I've been to Fergus a few times, but not recently.
