Ok Danyel, but note that i mentioned that the M4A1 and the M4A2s eqquipped with the 76mm gun are not superior to the panzer1V H. Therefore i took into consideration only the shermans that in my opinion are superior to the panzerIV H. That leaves a total of 4,796 shermans.

Skua: By firecontrol I meant the ability to hit the target and not rate of fire, ill check on the rate of fire and ill come back to you on that.

Roel: Again, I dont see why you would consider the M4A1s and M4A2s superior to the panzerIV H. Rather I would consider the Jumbos carrying the 76 as superior. It is incredible how much those Jumbos carried in armor, in some places even more than the Panther.

Allright, I rechecked and I might have underestimated the M4A1 and the M4A2s eqquipped with the 76, but those tanks had less firecontrol, targeting optics, and rage finder capabilities than the panzerIV H but they had a slightly better gun and much better armor, so id classify them as equal to or slightly superior to the panzerIV H.

Skua: As I said I recheked and ive found that even the M4A3E2 had a lower rate of fire than the Panzer H, but not by a large margin. The panzer IV H had a better range finder and targeting system as well. But again it was only slightly superior.

Oh for the love of - The M4A2 was vertualy identical to the M4A3 except it had a deisel engine. The M4A1 was identical except for more abundant armor at lower quality, still enough to defeat the Panzer IV from all but the closest ranges.

I have no idea where you get this whole firecontrol thing from. All these tanks used the M38A2 optic and all had a powered turret. In fact, they all used the same turret.

Ok, please dont get angry :) , Mea culpa. My fault.

Still, even if they do have the same optics, and the same turret, I still maintained that the the panzerIV H had slightly better fire control than these above mentioned tanks and slightly better rate of fire. As for the differences between the M4A1, M4A2, and M4A3, I have stated in the last post that I have reviewd my opinion and found the tanks equal or slightly superior to the PanzerIV H.
