Got a few interesting things on my recent vacation in Florida, starting with a autograph from Ted "Dutch" Vankirk, the last living member of the Enola Gay crew. An enlisted mans temporary pass, with date on bottom of June 26, 1943. A letter that has been shrunk down, with small envelope, and two overseas caps the first is a Marines cap, but I think this is a replica, the 2nd is an Army cap, I have been told is from the Cavalry. I believe this is determined by the color of the piping, but I really don't know!

Hi Erich, sorry for the delay in my responce, the range I use the K98 on insissts that you shoot in a lieing down possition, I find that the stock on my K98 is very stright and in this possition dose not fit that well into my sholder, I think that if I where in a standing or kneeling possition it would fit a lot better

    Hi Mike, Kai,

Mike, nice collection. Sorry I could not say so earlier ;-))

Kai, quite welcome my friend. Someday, im going to have to fly over to the land of Finns, and see your photo/autograph collections ;-))

I don't know if they are still around or not, but a great site I have seen huge amounts of great to, mundane pics for sale is at: www.hartmannandhartmann.com Not sure if this is the correct url or not but, they have an amazing amount of original pics for sale-and cheaper than most sites.

    C the link has choked.

punch up Cy Stapleton on google and watch what happens, then go over to his other link a German bro in arms, I think this is where Kai is getting his original postcard like photos war signed pics, an excellent site that I have visited many many times plus a few goodies direct from Cy S anyway.

hey Kai just look at the KM purchase(s) as a slight deviation, and my freind once I interview my Km friend locally I am gonna need your Finnish expertize for the island of Oesel and the Saaremand(sp ?) during 44-45. he was in Marine Flak or Artilliere and moved from spot to spot receiving the EK 2, he should of gotten the DK in Gold though in my opinion, 1 of only 25% of the truppen that were evac'd from the Finnish isles to the German shoreline on the Baltic
