Schulz and most of the U 124 crew were on U 64 when she sank just off the Norwegian coastline during the Norway Campaign. The Gebirgsjäger helped rescue Schulz and all but 8 of U 64's crew.

Once Schulz and the survivors commissioned U 124, he adopted the Gebirgsjäger Edelweiss emblem to honor his rescuers.

I remember a long time ago that someone was selling an authentic Sepp Dietrich autographed picture. It gave me the shakes...

Am I the only one seeing random pictures from the forum instead of the signed pictures?

The original signed photo thread was closed down so that the photos could be moved to new threads where they were listed under their type of service. The original thread had also been condensed after the origianl photos were posted one at a time. To save space the thread was condensed and when that happend the replies did not match up to the photos, So the thread was closed and the appropriate changes were made.

the new threads have the signed photos listed under these titles
    example
    Signed U-Boat Commanders
    Signed Stuka pilots
    Signed Bomber pilots
    Signed Night Fighters
    Signed Fighter Aces
    etc

I have no idea how the random photos ended up in this thread maybe it happend with the change to the new forum format
