Does anyone out there know what BG's where using the special radars and guided bombs. My dad is listed in 453rd BG but no records of him can be found by Mr Olds. I do know my dad S/Sgt Charles Church was awarded DFC in Nov44 for pulling crew members from burning aircraft. He also joked about being first American across the beach on D-Day cause he was in nose of his B-24 (h) just dont know what beach. Also is it possible for dads records to be classified if he was in that kind of stuff. They say his records burned in St Louis fire but how could some records be burnt and lost but not all of them ?

    Thanks

    Charlie.
