M-4 Sherman is located at the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park in Mobile, Alabama.

The Sherman is in poor condition. Many parts are missing. May have even been used as a target.

I could be wrong, but it looks as if that Sherman may been used as a recovery vehicle. The turret is reversed and I don't see a barell.

The barrel and mantlet was removed at some point. A steel plate is all that keeps the turret closed. It has many scars from torches and other items.

It may have been a recovery vehicle but I don't have one to compare it to and there isn't much left on it other than the hull, suspension and turret.

I have heard some folks call it the Sad Sherman.
