    Nor Percy Hobart, the US looked on his work with great interest. I'm sure his influence would have been felt in the Straits of Taiwan.

    From the book Japan's Pacific War, I learned that both Korean and Taiwanese were used on the Kokoda Track. They served as porters but would fight if ordered to.
