AT Jefferson Barracks this year I saw a fahrrad fitted with a rack in which were two panzerfausts, talk about David and Goliath. a forty pound bicycle versus a tank .Sherman tanks ran about 39 tons so thats quite a difference. but then the only armor on the fahrad is the operators stahlhelm. lukos aeton pheugei ( the wolf flees the eagle) ho nebros ton leonta, the deer has it over the lion.

little 12th Infantry, brand new unit stopped the lead tank a M5 Stewart with several magnetic mines, our guys played dead some people in the crowd even tried to warn the allies. but the ruse worked our guys jumped up and planted magnetic mines on the lead stewart and pulled the fuse foosh, were on fire and the tank crew bailed out. only smoke bomb but no other allied tank or half track could get by. a JB to remember

    Whatever

My word Ossie, you should have been in the S.I.B. or even the 'Provost Marshals branch of the Military Police'!
But I think you have missed at least one more.... how about 'Obergefreiter?
