Great photos Me-262..here's a pic of a Krupp 280 mm L.40, part of a small batch sold to Chile in 1895-
As far as l know, they were active as late as 1955-A Fort Guanabara-in the harbor of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil there's a semicircular turret with two Krupp 305 mm L.45 guns (and a smaller turret on top woith a pair of Krupp 75 mm L.25) they were there as late as the 1990s-
The 280 mm guns, yes. but since we are talking about big guns, l ifgured l'd mentioned the ones at Rio also... P.S. where are your beaver shots of Ce-Malinali..hahahaha! :smok: :smok:

Those gunners did a fine job indeed. One man whose name was on the arrest list of the Gestapo was Willy Brand. He would became Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany. IIRC it was a kind of combined effort by a bunch of veteran weapons. First the three 28cm grenades, than about two dozen hits by even older 15cm guns -also made by Krupp- and last but not least the 45cm torpedoes. IIRC the only non-german weapons fired at the Blücher.
