That's pretty much it. I can go ninety-to-nothing for limited times now, not like back in the good ole days when I could shift into ninety-to-nothing for weeks at a time when the time called for it. It takes longer to re-charge the batteries nowadays!
Also got tickets for the Bon Jovi concert mid-June in Finland. Should be another great concert ahead...!!
this past summer i was lucky enought to see GREEN DAY live in Toronto. My favorite band. it was one of the best nights of my life. WE had soo much fun. it was a beautiful summer night, and booze was pouring like rain, and the Pot filled the air with happiness and pure awsomeness! great punk rock +alcohol + weed + and an outdoor concert filled with hardcore fans = A FUN NIGHT !!! now thats a recipe for a good time! Rock on !!
Almost two weeks ago saw Whitesnake and it was a great, the crowd was pretty wild, and as there was some 8,000 you could hear them singing the chorusline´s from the songs loud and clear. On friday went to Bon Jovi concert and it was even better. 44,000 singing along and ended with livin´on a prayer...absolutely fantastic. Check the vid. YouTube - Bon jovi - Livin' on a prayer - live in helsinki, finland 17/6/2011‏ Hopefully Prince will visit our country as he has previously cancelled four gigs since 1988, he should come July 21st....
A while ago but Roger Water's at the Hollywood Bowl playing Dark Side of the Moon. I missed The Wall this year but I did see that one in 1975 at the famous L.A. Sports Arena, seven shows in seven days, all sold out performance of the original Pink Floyd minus, of course, the Great Syd Barrett (may he rest in peace).
Last Thursday in a local pub, where a band called Last Gang in Town performed cover versions of classic punk songs. They were better than I expected and the gig attracted a broad spectrum of ages. The late 70s came flooding back after hearing songs by The Clash, The Sex Pistols, UK Subs etc...
Finally. After three cancelled gigs since 1988 Prince finally will play a concert in Finland tomorrow night. And I´ll be there....
The last live concert I went to was Bruce Cockburn (that's pronounced Ko'-burn for you non-Canadians). However, I will have a different answer in a few days...
Don't forget Generation X, The Pixies, 999, The Damned and a safety pin among others. The band sounds good and glad they used the great Clash song as their moniker. Steve Jones had a great radio show, Jonesy's Jukebox, on an Indie station in L.A. but alas they went off the air. He is a riot. Hence the song...... No he is back on kroq 106.7 a station that had to sell out to survive - sadly.
I just got back from seeing U2 live in Minneapolis. Wow! Great show and I'm soaking wet. We had a little rain. Here's a rather poor cell phone pic of the stage just before they came out to play: View attachment 13724
Last night UB40 was in Finland. Great concert. The "old voice" is still there, and all the hits were played. Great! Hopefully get tickets for Bruce Springsteen concert for late July in Finland.
I saw a John Fogerty concert last July. I met him before it started (its a long story). I also managed to get my DSLR into the concert -- I'm surprised no one said anything. One of my photos is below. View attachment 15562
Interesting that due to the better value of dollar to euro the US bands are coming to Europe this summer instead of later time period... Anyway, hopefully get to see Metallica and ZZ Top in June, tickets for Bruce Spingsteen and Madonna I got for July and August. Sting is also coming in June but his tickets are not available yet. Other people going to concerts/got tickets for the summer?
Just a couple of hours and going to see Prodigy. Excellent. Also just bought tickets for the September Lenny Kravitz concert.
That reminds me. Has anyone heard if Spinal Tap is ever going to tour again? Spinal Tap | Michael Mckean Takes First Steps Since Car Crash | Contactmusic Hopefully if he recovers.
