You may keep getting this for a short period of time. If I'm not mistaken, whoever the warning is from (google, firefox, etc) may require a fixed time period without malicious software before removing the message. The virus has been removed.

Thanks for the couple of days off, I was able to use to concentrate on other things and not feel like I was missing out. First day in a long while I haven't had "Warning Will Robinson!", oh wait that was something else. :) I agree with the other Rogues, it's the content ! Looking forward to see what else you come up with?! Okay, I would like to see a little more "Color" on the page but all in all this is still my "One and Only" !

Hmmmm. I got an error message in "quick reply" when I tried to load that. "failure to write temporary file".

Do we have a "bug report" thread for the new forum or are we using this one?

Thanks Otto. The new look is a bit jarring, but all I care about is the ability to participate. Bring back the other stuff or not, I'm just glad we're back in operation.

I don't know, Erich. The medals are immaterial, but the rep boxes, I think, are helpfull especially to new posters. When I first joined up, I felt that those with high reputation, for the most part, were the most helpful. I guess it can be a bit of a distraction, but it can encourage quality responses. Just my two cents (or pence, or whatever.)

I could go either way with it; I'd ditch the medals and modify the reputation system. I think it is more important to reward quality than quantity.

I rather like the medals. They give it a more military feel. It's immediately and intuitively obvious that an avatar with a status bar full of medals belongs to an experienced member. A bunch of little green boxes would not have the same punch. Further, they make the forum feel a little quirky, which is also good. I do miss the salute button, though.

Great work Otto! It'll take a bit of getting used to, but hey. No crud, and we will adapt. Great to get back among a bunch of friends again.

Thanks again for all your hard work guys!

Echoing Formerjughead and in the same vain, how about "awarding" medals according to reputation points instead of number of posts? One or two word replies does not really show a true indication of involvement or helpful posts. Just a thought.

I'm just grateful we have the forum back up and running-regardless of how it looks.

I was beginning to get withdrawal symptoms at not having access to it. :D

Well done to Otto and all for your dedication and hard work.

The forum looks nice. I'm just glad things are up and running again. Although it will take time getting used to the new layout.

I'll just echo everyone else. Looks good, different though, but the change was for the good of the site. THanks for putting in the time and effort.

Can I heap some praise on Jeff/Slipdigit as well as Otto, for hanging in there while the forum ran over a rocky patch due to the actions of the Malware distributing idiots.

It's 'Vanilla' Vbulletin at the mo, but it appears to work pretty smoothly.
Doubtless the new skin and other shiny things will come along soonish, and we can all stop going "ARGH! MY EYES!!! IT BURNS!!!!" when we log in.
